Carpathian Mountains Romania

Romania has been a country I have wanted to visit for years, the beautiful countryside was a particular attraction to me. 2019 was the year for me and have visited multiple times arriving by plane and train. Romanian food is diverse and delicious, it includes many meat dishes including the local favourite Mici.

Transylvania and The Danube Delta have been the places I have visited so far, but have a list I still wish to explore including seeing all of “The Seven Wonders of Romania”.

The country is very mountainous and there are some great walking adventures to enjoy. The Postavaral Massif Range in the centre of the country is a place with great views and has the lazy option of ascending in a cable car.

Romania is famous for its castles that include Brann Castle made famous for its links to Dracula. Corvin Castle to the north of the country is a special fairytale castle and is great fun and interesting to visit.
